Problem Solving three?

Jose is planning to travel by car to vacation along the west coast through Washington, Oregon, and California. If gas costs $1.35 per gallon and Jose has $81 budgeted for gasoline, what is the maximum distance in miles he can travel if his car averages 34 miles per gallon?

Show how to do it.

Divide the $81.00 by $1.35 (or 8100/135) to get the number of gallons Jose can buy. Then multiply your answer by 34 miles per gallon to get the maximum distance.
